Terms and Conditions

By purchasing dahlias from us you are agreeing to these terms and conditions

It’s important to us that you love these dahlias as much as we do. If you have any concerns about your plants, please contact us through email rather than social media.

Cancel Order

Customers may cancel an order via email for a full refund anytime prior to their shipping date.

Damaged Plants

We guarantee that your plants will arrive intact. If plants break or are damaged during shipping, please take a picture of the damage and email us for either a refund or replacement plant (if available). It is common for some leaves to blacken or yellow during shipping, especially those touching the  plastic clamshell. This is normal and should not affect the growth of the plant. Those leaves can be gently broken off and discarded. Plant stems may also be limp from being away from water and light for a few days. Once planted and cared for, they should firm up quickly.

Failure/Disease

We go to great lengths and expense to guard against disease and to keep our tools and greenhouses sterile and free from pests. Customers seeking a refund for growth failure or signs of disease should contact us through email within 30 days of receiving the plants and provide pictures. In order to receive a refund, customers must have followed all our planting guidelines.

Cuttings can be taken from Stonehouse Dahlias cuttings, but our refund policy does not cover this. If your plant fails after you have taken a cutting from it, it is not covered by our refund policy.

We do not refund for poor tuber production as this is due to many factors out of our control.

Virus

According to the American Dahlia Society Genome Project, dahlias and viruses have been co-existing for thousands of years. We have invested heavily into virus testing and feel confident that we have the cleanest dahlia stock available. If you suspect virus and wish to obtain a refund, you will need to provide proof of a positive virus test result within 30 days of receiving your plant.

Variety Shortage

Because there is some unpredictability in working with Mother Nature, it occasionally happens that we cannot send a variety that was ordered. We work hard to plant reliable stock and ensure this does not happen, but if it does, customers who agreed to a replacement will receive a plant of the same or greater value. Customers who did not agree to a replacement will receive a refund for that plant.

Disclaimer

There is always risk when buying plants and Stonehouse Dahlias LLC is not responsible for any monetary compensation beyond a refund for the purchased plant.  Choices made by growers and costs incurred, such as testing, pest management regimes, culling, etc. are solely the responsibility of the grower.
